Surviving the ‘Credit Crunch’
Turn on any news program, or pick up any newspaper today, and the first thing you will no doubt see will be related to the global economic crisis - or, as the media have named it, THE CREDIT CRUNCH.
There is no doubt that the global economic downturn is a concern, but it’s not the end of the world as we know it. Bills may be a little more expensive, fuel may cost you more - but you will still wake up tomorrow and face the same challenges you faced yesterday.
So, the first tip is simply …… do not allow money worries to get you stressed. Relax, and be safe in the knowledge that all will work out ok. Stress will only lead to other, more serious problems.
Following on from this, your next tip is to budget. Sounds ominous, but budgeting is not a negative activity. Your aim here is to simply record all of your expenses alongside your household income.
Start your list of expenses with all absolute necessities - for example, water, gas, electricity, council tax, court orders and, of course, basic food and drink requirements. Then move on to all other items.
If your expenditure amounts to more than your income then you will need to work on a plan eliminate some of your costs.
If you find yourself struggling to do this, then we recommend checking out the relevant sections of the UK Government, or US Government sites. For other countries, click here and look for the link you require.
Remember: There is ALWAYS help available. Do not try and hide from money worries - facing problems head on, and with a positive attitude is a big step in your self improvement.
The next tip is directly related to the last sentence of the previous paragraph. Embrace the crisis. What we mean by this, is look at it as an opportunity to make money - there are thousands doing so around the world.
With every so-called ‘crisis’ there are individuals/businesses who seize the opportunity to profit. Global warming has created many multi-millionaires around the globe who saw the opportunity to sell products or services related to ‘going green’.
Important: It is 100% possible to make money by helping others to solve their money problems.
Here are just a couple of ideas to get your creative juices flowing;
- Consider starting your own recruitment agency
More people than ever are looking to get the best out of their career. This fact added to the possibility of many losing their jobs due to smaller, less robust businesses going bankrupt creates a huge business opportunity.
- Learn all you can on the subject of debt management
Why? You can use your skills to set up a business in the debt management area (niche). Your business can be run with minimal expense if you use the Internet. Why not work from home providing advice to others and charging a fee. People will pay for good debt management techniques.
Word of advice: Do not scam/rip-off your customers. Ensure your information is 100% correct and will genuinely help them. For more information on setting up your own home-based Internet business, go to cldconnections.co.uk or cldconnections.co.uk/recommends/IMC.
