Health
There are many subjects that fall under the self improvement subject, but arguably none are as important as your health.
Your mental health, your general health, and your weight are all directly related to a feeling of happiness - or the opposite.
Being overweight can lead to depression, and other serious mental health issues. The new year is approaching, and it’s the perfect time to make a commitment to losing weight, and improving your life.
But, how do you lose weight?
There are many different diets, and ‘fads’ - but lets simplify it for a second;
If your calorie intake is higher that calories burned, then you tend to put on weight. Therefore, the opposite will be true if you reverse this. Burn more calories than you take in, and you lose weight.
It really is that simple. It’s a matter of eating healthy, low-calorie foods mixed with exercising. Even a brisk walk is classed as exercise, and burns plenty of calories - so DO IT.
With regards to mental health, the human mind is very powerful. Unfortunately, it can sometimes ‘go wrong’ and needs to be reprogrammed.
Firstly, there is usually an underlying reason for poor mental health. This cause should be ‘treated’ as priority. Whether it’s your weight, the way you look, a painful experience, the loss of someone close to you, a lack of social interaction…….. the list is endless. If this cause is not treated, your depression, stress, anxiety and panic will return time after time.
Before you read any of our articles here, take some time out to work out the cause of your depression (or other mental health condition).
Your general health and well-being can affects your quality of life dramatically. Poor health can lead to feeling tired, depressed, and low on energy. There is no zest, and you constantly feel down.
Simply changing your diet can almost instantly improve this. Eat healthy foods, and drink water.
